Remembering Robert (Bob) Wigglesworth

Robert (Bob) Wigglesworth, the Alachua County Surveyor for 19 years passed away on Tuesday, January 19th. 

He was a North Central Florida surveying veteran with over 60 years experience. Bob served as a previous President of the Florida Society of Professional Land Surveyors, the past Charter President of the North Central Florida Chapter of the Florida Society of Professional Land Surveyors, as well as the National Association of County Surveyors. He also served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of County Surveyors. 

He was a Professional land surveyor in Florida for 53 years, as well as a professional land surveyor in Georgia for 51 years. He taught land surveying at Ft. Belvoir, VA during his Army service, as well as at the University of Florida Surveying Department. Bob received the National Land Surveying Excellence Award and was twice nominated for the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping Award.
