June 2015

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of recently retired CBP Officer Thomas M. Roland Jr. on July 10, 2015, after a battle with lung cancer. A resident of Arlington, VA, he is survived by his wife, Mary, and their two sons Nicholas and Thomas, and Thomas's wife, Carly and their son, Dexter.  He is also survived by his parents, Eleanor and Thomas Roland Sr.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. July 18, 2015 at the Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA.  The Honor Guard will commence a watch one hour prior to the start of the service and will perform a three-man flag-fold for presentation to the family.  A bag piper will perform "Amazing Grace" during the flag fold.

Uniformed personnel who are attending the service should wear Class 1 with hat, as per current policy and protocols. The family requests that no flowers be sent.  Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Please join us in offering sympathy and condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.  We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
