In Memory of FAFP Past President, Dr. Dennis Saver
Family medicine in Florida suffered a great loss with the death of FAFP Past President (2004) Dennis F. Saver, MD, FAAFP, who passed on July 21, 2021. Dr. Saver was a founder of Primary Care of the Treasure Coast and spent the next thirty years as the beloved primary care doctor for thousands of patients in Vero Beach and the greater Indian River community.

Dr. Saver was passionate about teaching medical students and was a Professor of Family Medicine at FSU medical school. However, his efforts and contributions within both family medicine Academies, FAFP and AAFP, were remarkable and will not soon be forgotten. Next month's FAFP Member Spotlight will feature Dr. Saver and provide more details in terms of what he meant to so many. In the meantime, his full obituary can be found by CLICKING HERE.

July Member Spotlight - Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger
"Until seven years ago my professional and personal life were on the upswing:
I wrote and self-published my autobiography, traveled throughout the world lecturing about my life, emphasizing that one person can initiate collaboration, peace, and mutual understanding. My medical practice was doing well allowing me to promote my ideas, the privilege to learn about other cultures and to engage in meaningful dialogue between Jews and Muslims. But then my life almost came to a full stop."
