Geri Woodward (66) the loving mother to Matt Woodward and Erin Swirczynski and longtime Cactus and Pine member passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday June 4, 2020 in Scottsdale, AZ due to complications from pneumonia.

Born February 19, 1954, in Osmond, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Glen Kemnitz and Elizabeth Jeanne Kemnitz. As those of you who knew her remember, Geri was very passionate about her job in sales to the golf industry working for several companies over the years. Geri had very high integrity and made a vast number of friends in the golf industry here in Arizona and all over the United States. She was always extremely generous with her time and more than willing to share her vast knowledge of fertilizers and chemicals to help any superintendent to make their job easier. She had a passion for the outdoors and loved hiking, scuba diving and sailing. She overcame many challenges through her life and always kept a positive attitude and truly was an inspiration to many. Also, she had an incredible ability and a strong determination to overcome any obstacles that came her way. She was always willing to mentor others in the industry.

She is survived by her son Matt (Jamie) of Camp Verde, AZ and daughter Erin (Cody) of Cave Creek, AZ. She is also survived by three loving grandchildren, Trent Woodward, Raymie Swirczynski and Owen Swirczynski, and her siblings: Monica, Joanie, Patty and Tom.
