On Easter Monday, the universal Church began a period of mourning at the passing of our Holy Father Pope Francis. With funeral services on Saturday in Rome, a Memorial Mass at the Cathedral of Christ the Light, a Novena and special prayers across parishes, this weekend offers many opportunities for us to come together in our faith.
The Holy Father was a man of mercy, compassion, humility, and commitment to human dignity. Let us all keep Pope Francis in our prayers and honor his life through acts of mercy.
Eternal rest grant unto Pope Francis, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him; may he rest in peace. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
