In-Person Celebration for Class of 2020
Dear St. Mark’s students and parents,

I write today with exciting news: I recently accepted a proposal from the VI Form Planning Committee for an in-person celebration for the Class of 2020 to take place at St. Mark’s on Friday evening, June 11, 2021, and Saturday morning, June 12, 2021 . This celebration will complement the virtual Prize Day celebrations being held this year on June 4 and June 6.

Prize Day weekend events for the Class of 2021 will begin on Saturday afternoon, June 12, 2021, with the traditional concert, followed by Athletic Awards and Baccalaureate. Class of 2021 Prize Day will take place Sunday morning, June 13.

While on-campus events for the Class of 2020 12 months later cannot fully make up for the loss of the 2020 in-person Prize Day, the 2021 events will provide an opportunity for members of the class and their families to gather on campus for an experience that will, surely, be memorable and celebratory. We hope members of the Class of 2020 and their families will join our faculty for dinner on Friday, June 11, 2021. On Saturday morning, June 12, 2021, we will hold the handshaking ceremony, followed by the presentation of diplomas and a brunch for members of the Class of 2020 and their families.

While a number of details about the Class of 2020 on-campus celebration have to be worked out, I wanted to share this good news with you now because I know the topic has been on the minds of many of you. I am proud of the faculty and staff members who worked to arrive at this plan, just as I am proud of all of the members of the Class of 2020 for persevering through this most challenging time. I look forward to sharing many more details about the events of June 11 and 12, 2021, as they become available.

With all best wishes,
