It deeply saddens us to see inclement weather on the forecast for December 24, Christmas Eve. Our clergy and staff were looking forward to worshiping in-person with our First Church family. The near freezing temperatures, high winds, and increased chances of rain, influenced our decision to hold only online services on Christmas Eve. Although disappointed, we believe that the spirit of Christmas and the hope that is Jesus, lives in the hearts and homes of our congregation. We invite you to spend Christmas Eve with us online at 4:00, 6:00, 8:00 or 11:00 for a beautiful service.
Our intent on making this decision early, was to give our congregation enough time to make alternate plans, and to come by the church to pick up candles to use in your Christmas Eve at Home service. We will provide candle pick-up opportunities on Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00am - 1:00pm and Wednesday, 4:00 - 6:00pm. Email [email protected].
We are providing online Christmas Eve services at 4:00, 6:00, 8:00, & 11:00pm.
Silent Night Recording
Rev. Dr. Rick Branch has requested that our church families and members take a small part in the online Christmas Eve Services by recording a video of themselves singing Silent Night holding your candles (any type). All videos must be turned in by Wednesday at 1:00pm to [email protected].

REMEMBER!
  • Sing to the audio (link below) of Rick WITH headphones in, as to not hear the audio
  • Practice once or twice with the audio before you make your video
  • Sing the whole song in one take
  • Please send in video in landscape/horizontal orientation
  • Record in dim lighting so your candlelight can be seen
  • Dress in your Christmas Eve best!
Silent Night Lyrics
Silent night! Holy night!
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child!
Holy infant, so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace!
Sleep in heavenly peace!
Silent night! Holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight!
Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ the Savior is born!
Christ the Savior is born!
Silent night! Holy night!
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth!
Jesus, Lord, at thy birth!
