Lower Merion Libraries Return to In-person Visits
Starting the week of March 29, Lower Merion libraries will begin a staggered re-opening to in-person browsing and computer use. What does that mean? For the safety of our staff and guests, days and hours will be limited, so please check with your local branch for their schedule. This will be regularly evaluated and it is our goal to increase hours and days in the coming months.
The PA State Order for mask/face covering at any indoor facility remains in effect. Both staff and guests must properly wear a mask or face covering completely covering both nose and mouth, in the library at all times. Anyone who refuses to comply may be prosecuted and may force library staff to close the library and all guests will have to exit the facility immediately.
Browsing and computer use is limited to 30 minutes per person to allow more guests use of our facilities. No use of meeting rooms is allowed, and lounge furniture is unavailable.
When you return a book, please know that returned items will be quarantined for at least 24 hours and items returned on weekends might be out of circulation for a longer period. During the quarantine period, books will remain on your account but no fines will accrue during the quarantine period. Contact staff for a full list of restrictions.
The Lower Merion Library System and Staff welcome you back and we are excited to see you. Let’s work together to keep each other safe and keep libraries open!
