In-Person STARS Training Available March 2nd
Active Play Throughout the Day
Katy Levenhagen, our Child Care Nutrition Consultant, is offering an i n-person STARS training at Verdant Health on Saturday, March 2nd, from 9:00 AM to 11:00AM.

What to Expect
This training includes the most current guidelines and creative ideas for physical activity in child care and early learning. Attendees will gain an understanding of how physical activity impacts children's growth and development and be able to incorporate the information into the classroom curriculum. Active play includes adult led, skill building activities and quick moves that can be applied to increase the minutes a child’s body moves throughout the day. Newly developed Active Learning Lessons and accompanying active play cards suitable for classroom use will be demonstrated and practiced during the session. Each participant will receive a free set of these materials. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes… we will be moving.

This training provides 2 free STARS credits.
