Dear family and friends of St. Nicholas,

Due to the Governor’s Executive Order that limits us to allowing only 15 parishioners in the church proper, along with the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, the Parish Council has made the difficult decision to cancel in-person services at St. Nicholas until further notice. We will not have in-person service tomorrow, Sunday, November 15, and will ONLY live-stream all services.

At the time of our re-opening in June, Father Demetri and the Parish Council set out to assure the safest possible environment for the faithful to worship, partake of the Holy Sacraments and reconnect with fellow parishioners from a safe distance.

Our greatest concern has always been the well-being of our parishioners. We have taken into consideration the ramifications of limiting our attendance to 15 parishioners, such as moving to an RSVP system and having to turn people away. Furthermore, given the current course of the pandemic, with cases rising in Massachusetts, we decided to air on the side of caution in order to protect our parish family.

We will monitor any new guidance from the Governor’s office before making changes and will provide updates to our faithful, as needed.

Please continue to pray for all those who are our civic leaders both here in the Commonwealth, our nation and all leaders throughout the world.

Pray for doctors, nurses and all medical professionals and researchers who seek to heal and help those who are afflicted as they put themselves at risk in the process.

May our Lord replace all anxiety, worry and fear, with His love, strength, comfort and His peace. May the Physician of our souls and bodies Christ our God, His Eternal Father and His All Holy Good and Life Creating Spirit be with you all, Amen.

With the love of Christ,

Father Demetri and the Parish Council
