Time to change your password!
District Media & Technology Services (DMTS) will require all staff to have a password that has been reset on or after Aug. 1, 2019. You can make this change anytime by using the portal. However, you must have a new password by Nov. 15. Learn more here.

Changes to staff lunch account management
Recent Infinite Campus updates have changed the way users interact with their online payment module for staff school lunch accounts.You may need to reestablish stored payment methods or recurring payments and payment account information. This document will walk you through the process to update your account.

Latest Headlines
Normandale Principal Chris Holden has been honored as a Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the Consul General of France in Chicago. This order expresses the French government’s recognition and gratitude to French and foreign academics and educators who have made outstanding contributions to French education or science, and to the expansion of French language and culture throughout the world. 
Normandale Elementary has received LabelFrancÉducation, a quality seal granted by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Education to foreign schools promoting French dual-language programs of very high quality. LabelFrancÉducation has been awarded to 285 school in 53 countries. Normandale Elementary is the only school in Minnesota to receive this award.
An Academic Calendar Preferences Survey has been sent, via email, to district parents and employees. A committee of district parents, staff and administrators is working to create academic calendars for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 school years.
School Board Update
2019 SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION - Tuesday, Nov. 5
A link to video of the Oct. 8 Board Candidate Forum sponsored by the Parent Leadership Council is posted on the Voter Resources page of the district website. Visit this page for video of the League of Women Voters-Edina Candidate Forum, the PLC Flipgrid Video Forum, links to candidate websites and important information on how to register and where to vote Nov. 5.
C ampaign clarification
Edina Public Schools does not endorse or provide campaign support for any of the candidates for School Board. Some parents are seeing campaign ads when they access information and scheduling tools sent from their schools. The ads are a campaign tool used by candidates and appear on school communications that use free software. The appearance of a candidate’s ad does not indicate endorsement of the candidate by the district, school or teacher.
Opportunities to vote early for the School Board election began on Sept. 20. All absentee and early voting occurs at Edina City Hall.
Next Board meeting: Monday, October 14
The meeting begins at 7 p.m., in ECC Room 349. A complete meeting agenda is posted three days prior to the meeting. Regular meetings of the School Board are live streamed on the district's YouTube channel. To watch, click on the YouTube icon at the bottom of every district website page, or find the link on the School Board meetings web page.

Q&A Sessions are held as requested. View more information about Q&A sessions and the form to submit questions. Questions must be submitted by 3 p.m. one week prior to each session. Sessions are held at 6:30 p.m., prior to a regular Board meeting.

Did You Know?
Opportunities to academically stretch your student
Check the Resources webpage under Gifted Education for opportunities to academically stretch your student. View extracurricular, activities, and resources for additional learning opportunities, including the Young Scientist Roundtabl e. This partnership with local public schools is designed for all students grades K-12 and their families. Events are offered every month during the school year, giving students the chance to learn from scientists. Riding a Laser Beam to Alpha Centauri , is Monday, Oct. 14 from 7-8 p.m. at Wayzata High School Auditorium.
