Give Us Your Thoughts on Health Insurance Costs, Care Availability
|
|
The Texas Legislature passed SB 1444 in 2021, introducing changes to the state health insurance for educators, TRS ActiveCare. One of those changes stated school employees should be asked about their satisfaction with health insurance costs and care availability in their area under their current insurance plan.
We ask you to please complete the survey before the end of the year. When asked which ESC region covers Sherman ISD, answer ESC Region 10.

Smile Awards Given to Staff

This spring, the district began a new Smile Awards recognition program to honor staff members who received a "shout-out" from parents, students and SISD team members in the 2021-2022 organizational health and community surveys.
During the spring faculty meetings with the SISD Executive Leadership Team, staff members received a card with the direct quotes from their survey shout-out and a pin to bring a smile to their face when they're having a bad day.
