Compliance Trainings Now Available to Complete
The required annual trainings for the 2023-24 school year are now available through the Canvas learning management system. Invitations to begin the trainings were sent this week to your email from Sherman ISD Canvas with the subject line "Course Invitation."

Completing these trainings satisfies one of the requirements for the two Professional Exchange days this school year. To get credit, you should complete the trainings when you are outside contract time or off the clock if you are an hourly employee. Once you complete the trainings, you should print two copies of your certificates for each course; one copy for your personal file and one to be turned into your supervisor as documentation.

Also, please complete the cybersecurity awareness training from KnowBe4, which was sent in a separate email. It can be accessed through your SSO.
Learn About Classroom Technology From Fellow Educators!
The Sherman Techpalooza begins in less than two weeks! Learn about the latest exciting classroom technologies and the best practices on implementing them, some taught by your fellow Bearcat educators. Learn about the Google Suite, 3-D printing, podcasting and so much more!

Please be sure to bring your computer to Sherman High School on July 18 and 19 and be ready to learn effective ways to integrate technology in your classroom while networking with your peers!
Summer PD Courses Still Open,
Childcare Available For Participants
There’s still time to sign up for our summer professional development courses! You can gain new knowledge ranging from learning about innovative classroom tools to engaging students in creative lessons at all grade levels. Along with the annual required trainings, these sessions count toward the 6 hours of approved professional development required for the Professional Exchange days.

If you need childcare during a summer PD session, don’t worry! Bearcat Camp is a free day camp for SISD employees who either enroll in a professional development course or work during the summer. You can register here.
