District sets two Levy Referendum Community Conversations
Families, staff and community are invited to come together to learn more about district finances and have conversation about Edina Public Schools’ future at upcoming Operating Levy Community Conversations set for next month.

Student leaders ensure a warm welcome at Edina High School
While District staff were kicking off their school year Aug. 30, about 200 Edina High School juniors and seniors gathered in the South View Middle School gym for preparations of their own. These students comprise the
Edina Link Crew, a new yearlong transition program aimed at helping new students transition to life at EHS. Link Crew leaders serve as positive role models and guides for first-year students, which this year includes both 9th and 10th grades.
Awards luncheon recognizes staff achievements across district
Edina Public Schools honored more than 50 staff members at an awards luncheon Aug. 31 at the Edina Community Center. Honorees included bus drivers who reached years of safety milestones, staff with 25 years of service to the district, and certified staff achieving tenure. The district's most intense period of construction has finished and with 85 percent of facilities referendum projects bid, the construction budget remains on track. Read more about the construction budget.
There are open positions at three EPS elementary schools and the Early Learning Center for Literacy Tutors through the

Geek Squad opt out forms available
This year, families may opt out of Geek Squad services for devices they have purchased for their students. Through the district’s technology agreement with Best Buy, the Geek Squad provides tech support at the district’s secondary schools. If families DO NOT wish to have the Geek Squad service a device they have personally paid for, they should
print the online form and return it their school.
