Pool Renovation Project Update – From Behind the Curtain
We want to share an update on the pool renovation project's progress and outline what to expect in the coming weeks.
Underground Utility Discovery
During work on December 29, a water line located beneath an abandoned gas line was identified and impacted. This line is the main feed line to the equipment room and has not been previously identified through Blue Stake. While unplanned, this discovery was ultimately a positive one, as it allows us to address and document this critical infrastructure moving forward properly.
Permits Submitted
Both the Health Department and Building permits have been submitted to Maricopa County and are currently under review.
Plumbing Work
Plumbing work is scheduled to begin next week and is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.
Parking Adjustments
Beginning on January 5, additional parking spaces were secured to accommodate material staging. This staging area is expected to be in place for approximately 90 days.
-
The entire south row will be clearly marked as handicap-accessible spaces.
- Once staging is no longer required, all secured parking spaces will be reopened for resident use.
Pavers and Furniture
- New Belgard paver samples have been received and are currently under review. Upon approval, the order will be placed.
- Sample chairs are expected shortly after the first of the year. The goal is to place the furniture order in late January to ensure a timely delivery.
Pump Room Update
- Requests for proposals have been sent to three contractors.
-
A contractor walk-through is scheduled for the week of January 5.
- Once a general contractor is selected, they will proceed with permitting for the pump room and begin coordination with Shasta Pools.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue to make steady progress on this important project. Additional updates will be shared as milestones are reached.
