Board Workshops Focus on Capital Reserves and Financial Planning for Cottonwood/Palo Verde
The Board of Directors will present two additional workshops focused on Capital Reserves and long-range financial planning.
These workshops are designed to provide homeowners with a clear understanding of:
- The purpose and importance of capital reserves
- Current reserve funding levels
- Long-range maintenance and replacement planning
- Financial projections and funding strategies
- The impact of reserve funding decisions on future assessments
Properly funding our reserves ensures that major community assets, such as infrastructure, buildings, amenities, and shared facilities, can be repaired or replaced when needed without placing an unexpected financial burden on homeowners.
Upcoming Workshop Dates
Two final presentations remain:
- Wednesday, February 18th at 2:00 PM
- Monday, February 23rd at 3:00 PM
Both sessions will be held in the SanTan Ballroom.
All homeowners are strongly encouraged to attend one of these sessions. The information shared is essential to understanding how reserve funding decisions will impact long-range planning and the financial future of Cottonwood/Palo Verde.

Why This Matters Now
These workshops are especially important as we approach our Annual Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, March 25th.
Prior to the Annual Meeting, homeowners will participate in the annual voting process, which will include decisions about how to fund our reserves going forward. Being informed prior to voting is critical to making thoughtful, responsible decisions that protect our community’s assets and property values.
2026 Board Election – Timing of Events
Several important dates will occur before the 2026 Board Election process.
