Arizona is experiencing unseasonably warm temperatures for this time of year, and we encourage all residents and guests—especially our seasonal visitors—to take extra precautions when spending time outdoors.
Even in early spring, the desert sun can be intense. With very low humidity and strong sunshine, dehydration can happen more quickly than expected, particularly for those who may not be accustomed to the Arizona climate.
Outdoor activities like walking, golfing, or biking can become more strenuous during periods of extreme heat.
To Help Stay Safe & Comfortable, Please Remember to
- Drink plenty of water throughout the day
- Wear sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses when outdoors
- Limit activity during the hottest part of the afternoon
- Take breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas
Don't Forget About Your Pets 🐾
Please remember that pavement and ground surfaces can become extremely hot and may burn your pet's paws. If the ground feels hot to your hand, it's too hot for your pet to walk on.
Be sure to provide fresh water at all times, offer shaded areas when outdoors, and limit outside time during the hottest parts of the day. Taking a few extra precautions will help keep you furry companions safe and comfortable during the warmer weather.
We want everyone to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of our community while staying safe.
Please take extra care during this period of higher-than-normal temperatures.
