Preschool
Our preschoolers are learning that we can hear from God, and this week we will use Philip’s story. Philip was a follower of Jesus, and he understood God’s Word. So, when God told Philip to go and help a man sitting in a chariot understand God’s Word, that’s exactly what Philip did. Philip ran up to the chariot and explained what the man was reading from God's Word. The man was so happy that he followed Jesus as well. Philip heard from God, and we can hear from God, too.
PRESCHOOL NEEDS: We need several people to step into a preschool classroom once or twice each month during the 9:45 hour. If you feel a call to serve the church in this area, please contact Patty at pgiammarco@dublinbaptist.com.
DBC Kids
On Sunday Mornings, our kindergarten through 5th graders are studying God’s Game Plan. While choosing to follow Jesus is the most important decision a kid can make, it’s only the first step! Learning to live and love like Jesus is a lifelong journey that can seem overwhelming and abstract for children. That’s why it’s so important to provide handholds for kids (and grownups!) to grow in four specific areas of spiritual formation. We call these Faith Skills: Hear from God, Pray to God, Talk about God, and Live for God. This month, we’ll walk through all four skills as displayed in the life of Jesus! Each week, we will send home a take-home page with four devotions for the week, along with a parent page. These are resources we want you, as parents, to be able to utilize with ease!
Our 6th graders are continuing through their study on finding their Identity in Christ! Each lesson delves into the Bible to help preteens develop a worldview grounded in God’s perspective. Each Bible study is designed to help leaders encourage and teach preteens with the unchanging truth of God’s Word as they navigate an ever-changing culture around them. Each session is primarily discussion-based.
Wednesday Night DBC Kids starts back up on Wednesday, January 14! We are starting a new series on Prayer!
Kids Camp 2026 is June 15-18 at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. Camp registration is open!! You can click here to register! Camp is for children who will have completed 3rd-6th grade in the 2025/2026 school year. The cost is $250. If you have any questions, please let Amy know!
On February 27, we will be hosting a Family Awards Night! This will be a night to celebrate our kids! Are there areas where your child has grown? Or are there things that you have observed they are just doing well? This is a night to celebrate those things! We will ask you to fill out a form with what award or celebratory things you would like to highlight about your child!
We kindly request that you register your family so that we are prepared for you. I am really excited about this night! It will be “come as dressed up as you want,” we are doing a Red-Carpet theme! A snack dinner will be served! You can register your family by clicking on this link.
