Class of 2018 Valedictorians & Salutatorians
Soon, more than 1,000 GCISD seniors will walk across the stage and receive their high school diplomas. On May 24, students from Bridges Accelerated Learning Center will graduate at Grapevine Convention Center. Also on May 24, the inaugural graduation of Collegiate Academy at Tarrant County College Northeast will take place at the same location. Colleyville Heritage High School and Grapevine High School will hold commencement ceremonies on May 31 at College Park Center in Arlington.  iUniversity Prep, a GCISD Virtual Academy, will graduate on June 9 at Arlington Music Hall.  For each graduating class, it is a special achievement to earn the the title of Valedictorian and Salutatorian.

Safety Update from the GCISD Board of Trustees

An Update on the 2018 GCISD Trustee Election
Updated May 21, 2018

After the results were canvassed in the May 5, 2018 GCISD Trustee Election, a request for recount was filed for Place 2. The recount took place Friday, May 18 and Monday, May 21 and GCISD delegated oversight of the recount to Tarrant County Elections Administration officials.

The recount showed that the necessary majority was not received by any candidate for Place 2 and will therefore require a runoff election between Amy Putnam and Becky St. John. The results of the recount will be canvassed Thursday, May 24 at 4:30 p.m. After the results are canvassed, the District will order a runoff election. The runoff election will take place June 16, 2018, with early voting from June 4 to June 12, 2018.


After counting provisional and overseas military ballots, Tarrant County Elections Officials have notified Grapevine-Colleyville ISD that Becky St. John has secured the necessary majority in order to secure Place 2 on the GCISD Board of Trustees. The results are as follows:

2018 Summer Food Service Program
The Summer Food Service Program provides free meals to all children age 18 and younger. These meals provide essential nutrients for active growing kids. To participate in the free meal program, all kids have to do is show up at a serving site. 

Silver Lake Elementary School
: June 4 - July 13
Breakfast: 7 - 8 a.m.; Lunch 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Cross Timbers Middle School: June 4 - August 10
Breakfast: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.; Lunch 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Breakfast and lunch will be offered vs. served. Students will need to select a minimum three components for breakfast and lunch. At  lunch  the meal must include a fruit or vegetable in order to have a complete meal.

The entire meal must be consumed at the serving site absolutely no "to go" breakfasts or lunches are available.
