OUR PARTNERS

DONE DEALS

Our pick of this fortnights sponsorship deals
Supermarket giant Sainsbury's build on their impressive work to date with British Athletics by signing a four year deal to become a partner of the Major Events Series. If they have even a modicum of the success that former 13 year partner Aviva enjoyed it will be a deal well worth signing.

Nova International has signed Virgin Trains as official train operator to the Great Events series through until 2016. With over 120,000 people expected to take part in the events within Virgin Train routes we're liking the fit!

Vevo, the online music video platform signs 6 figure deal with haircare brand Schwarzkopf to sponsor the UK edition of 'Lift' - surely one of the biggest growth sectors for sponsorship to look out for in the next couple of years.

Channel 4 has struck a multi-million pound sponsorship deal with Lexus that sees them sponsor the drama genre on the channel in a one year deal. Nice to see a meaty broadcast sponsorship deal that offers great continuity to the brand.

We pick up as many deals as we can in the UK marketplace which are announced on our twitter feed @ThinkSpons. A comprehensive directory of past and current deals can be accessed at our new Find!Sponsorship service.
TRENDS & INSIGHT
Interesting bits & bobs
Newcastle United & Wonga's shirt sponsorship deal is in the top 10 most recognised shirt sponsorship's in the Premier League- according to a recent Repucom report. The partnership has certainly ruffled feathers as pay-day loan companies continue to strike deals in the sponsorship arena.

Sponsorship is considered to be at it's most innovative according to respondents to our recent poll conducted with IMR. Red Bull came out top of the charts as most innovative sponsor over the last 20 years. Full results and analysis here

Marketing's Future Trends for 2014 saw social sponsorship make it into the top 50. The rise of social sponsorship can be seen across the full spectrum of the sponsorship industry although it may be the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic Games that has put it into the spotlight and into the top 50 trends for this year.
