A Message From the President
AMTA-IL Board President, Marva Wright extends her greetings, and reviews a variety of things on the 2019 schedule for the chapter. Please read her full statement that discusses the upcoming conference, student day, the chapter elections, and volunteer opportunities at this link.

Don't forget to register for the conference! Super Early Bird pricing ends in a week and there is a reason we keep plugging this event incessantly.

Think of how amazing it would feel to have 3/4 of your CE Requirements completed, a mere 3 months into a new renewal period.

You can register as an attendee by following this link, or as a student for Student Day at this link

We look forward to seeing you in March!
Measuring Progress

Basic numerical and face based pain scales are taught to most entry level massage therapists... but they are often found lacking in our profession. In this article, Massage Therapy Foundation President and Licensed Massage Therapist, Douglas Nelson, explores the problems with the traditional pain scale, and provides an alternative, updated method of determining how well your client may be progressing. You can access not only the article, but the materials that he is recommending at this link.
AMTA-IL wants YOU to be a part of the team!

Consider running or encouraging another AMTA member to run for one of AMTA-IL’s open volunteer positions! Deadline to submit an application for the election is on February 12, 2019 .

Current openings this election cycle:
Board Member
Financial Administrator
