PETALUMA'S EALCHEMY IS GROWING
The eAlchemy team in front of its new office off 5th Street.
eAlchemy builds custom software solutions that help businesses to effectively and efficiently use data to make better decisions. Having outgrown its previous space, the company recently moved into a super-cool, newly-renovated office suite in the historic Petaluma School Administration building on 5th Street.

GOT BROADBAND? WE DO!
Over the past year, local telecommunications carrier Sonic has expanded service into Petaluma.

We're excited about this move, for a couple of reasons. Primarily, we're thrilled that our local businesses have more options to choose from when they're considering telecom carriers.

But we're also more than a tiny bit proud of our role in bringing another broadband carrier to town.

WORKFORCE TRAINING PROGRAMS
Petaluma apparel company Kitsbow received recruitment and training assistance from EDB.
Do you need help finding qualified applicants for open positions?  Would you like to be reimbursed for employee training costs?  Are you planning a workforce reduction?

If you've answered "Yes" to any of these questions--stop reading this newsletter and contact Heather LoBue, Business Programs Manager at the Sonoma County Economic Development Board (EDB).

In addition to workforce programs, the EDB offers help with market analysis, state incentive programs, and small business development. Check out their newly-redesigned website for more information...and then come back and read the rest of our newsletter!

GET HELP WITH CITY PERMITS
Businesses typically need City permits when they move into a new building or make changes to an existing one. This process can be challenging, and we've learned that the earlier businesses contact us about their projects, the better the end result for everyone involved.

We have a new printed piece that summarizes the tools available to help businesses through the process. Contact us for copies to share with your clients or your executive team. Or check out the Tools page of our website...we're here to help!
