Adding More Seats to the Ravenswood Table

Dear REF Community,

As we enter this season of gratitude, we are reminded of all that makes our community so special. At the center of our thanks is you—our Ravenswood supporters, educators, families, and partners—whose commitment and care bring our schools to life.

Because of your generosity, Ravenswood schools are stronger than ever. Together, we’ve made real progress. Hard data shows critical gains in student achievement, as we concurrently deepen teacher support and create classrooms full of joy, curiosity, and belonging.

Meeting Rising Needs Together

And now, our table is growing. Next year, as the Primary School closes its doors, Ravenswood will open our doors to approximately 350 new students, nearly a 25% increase in enrollment. It’s an exciting moment, requiring our programs and systems to scale up quickly and effectively. It is also a reminder that our work, and our shared commitment, have never mattered more.

At the same time, many Ravenswood families are facing real pressures, such as the recent battle around the loss of SNAP benefits, which has made it even harder for families to put food on the table. In partnership with the district, REF funded fresh food boxes to help fill that gap. It’s just one example of what it means to be in it for good.

As we prepare to add 25% more seats to our table, we invite you to help make room for every Ravenswood child. The programs we are funding are working but we need your support to ensure we can scale them to support the new students as well.
