Dear Yoga Community,

I'm grateful to share that in-person yoga classes are starting this Saturday, April 30, at 3907 S. 48th Street. It's right across from the Union College Arboretum and above Eve Salon.

There are four yoga teachers sharing this space which we're calling 'Yoga Together'. I'll share more about the teachers and their class offerings in the coming weeks. The space is bright, bare, and full of potential. The room can accommodate about eight mats and has a small kitchen, and restroom. I hope it becomes your yoga home away from home.

I'm offering three classes a week. Here's the schedule and a brief description for each class.

Tuesday 6:00-730 p.m., Beginning Level
This will be a good class if you are new to yoga or want to approach your existing yoga practice with a beginner's mind.

Thursday 6:00-7:30 p.m., Intermediate Level
In this class, you'll practice asana for about an hour followed by a breathing practice (pranayama) and meditation.

Saturday 10-11:30 a.m., All-levels
This class will focus on postures and breathing intentionally.

I need to increase the cost of my classes a little. Classes will cost $18/each and payment can be made via PayPal or Venmo. If this increase makes it difficult for you to come to classes, please let me know and we'll find a solution.

Before long, I will figure out a better way of signing up for classes but for now please let me know that you're coming by sending me an email or text (505-350-8830). I hope that signing up in advance helps you strengthen your commitment to regular yoga practice.

Taking time to practice yoga, to turn your attention inward, benefits your physical, mental, and spiritual well being.

  • Regular practice relaxes tension from your muscles and organs, realigns your bones, lengthens your spine, and increases your overall vitality.
  • As your body finds greater stability and ease, you become aware of the churning mind and learn to quiet it with breath and focused attention.
  • When your body and mind become very still, you discover a deeper aspect of yourself. Anchoring yourself in this deeper aspect is a blissful experience with transformative potential.

On April 30, there is a new moon and solar eclipse in Aries and a conjunction of Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune in the early degrees of Pisces. This is a time to listen deeply to your inner guide, to choose to cultivate compassion and forgiveness, and to begin a new chapter in your life. The synchronicity of the celestial events and opening of Yoga Together happened effortlessly which reminds me, there's more going on than I know.

Well, that's all for now.
Thank you for reading.
I hope to see you soon and often.
Namaste and good luck,

Jessica
