A note from Artistic Director, Shirley Serotsky
Hangar Families,
Hangar Theatre’s Next Generation School of Theatre will be back in- person in 2021! We will continue to offer fun and creative summer classes that provide your students entering grades 2-10 with an unforgettable learning experience in the arts. We will be operating at reduced capacity, in a mostly outdoor setting, with COVID-19 safety measures in place to keep your young people comfortable and safe.

As we return to in-person arts education, we’re offering classes that encourage your young people to explore various forms of theatrical expression, while focusing on movement, collaboration, and creative thinking. Every class includes theatre games, warm ups, and collaborative creation; sessions will take place primarily outdoors, in the interest of keeping our creative spaces safe and healthy. Each week develops specific skill sets, focusing on the whole student, and prioritizing the activation of mind, body, and heart.

The Hangar’s Next Generation School of Theatre is an opportunity for young people to learn from theatre artist/educators as they kindle new friendships, and awaken their most creative selves. Programs are designed to build self-awareness, confidence, and life-skills that extend far beyond the stage. Please reach out if you have any questions about our new safety regulations, or anything else. We thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Shirley Serotsky
Hangar Theatre Artistic Director
