Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Community One connects and empowers neighbors to love their neighbors by helping with simple projects in their homes and lives. Several yard cleaning projects have been submitted in the last month that are near the church. Community One has reached out to us to see if anyone from Methodist Temple would be interested in helping with these projects. Please use the links below to sign up to volunteer.

Student Leadership Academy

July 6-12

The Student Leadership Academy (SLA) is a specialized program aimed at guiding high school students in discovering their vocation. Vocation, in this context, is defined as finding a sense of purpose in life or contemplating a calling.

While vocation discovery is often linked to ministry, the Academy takes a broader approach by encouraging students to explore their vocation through service, whether it be in a religious setting or in any other field.

The SLA at the University of Indianapolis offers a unique opportunity for students to step away from the chaos and focus on discovering their true calling and reconnect with their spirituality. By participating, students can break free from the preconceived notions of different cultures and languages, fostering relationships built on mutual respect and understanding rather than fear and misunderstanding..

Patchwork Central Volunteer Opportunity

Our missional partner Patchwork Central has a food pantry service in need of volunteers on Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:45am. People of all abilities are able to volunteer. If you are interested in helping with this mission please contact the church office at 812-476-1306.

United Caring Services/Ruth's House

Volunteer Opportunity

We have a group of people who provide a meal on the 3rd Monday of each month at Ruth's House, a shelter for women and girls. We have been blessed to have more volunteers than needed for this ministry. However, if you're interested in helping, please contact the church office at 812-476-1306.
