The iSOSY Personal Wellness collection grew this year to include a new module concerning suicide prevention in the migratory student population. As September is Suicide Awareness Month, now is a good time to become familiar with the topic and the resources available.
One positive outcome of the Covid-19 Pandemic is that our society overall has become more comfortable talking about mental health. September is the ideal time to take the deep dive and talk about suicide prevention. The truth is, we can all benefit from honest conversations about mental health conditions and suicide, because just one conversation - just one connection - can change a life. It’s time to connect ourselves, our families, our organizations, our schools, and communities to work together to help prevent suicide.
You will find Module 8: Suicide Prevention on our website's Personal Wellness Training Package page. A fully scripted PowerPoint is available along with other supporting prevention materials and activities.
If you or someone you love is struggling, please seek help.
