2025 is poised to be a fantastic year for Horizon Seeds with many key products poised for success.
In soybeans, Compass E3 had an outstanding year in 2024, performing #1 in the Ontario Roundup Ready soybean trials at its maturity and Axis E3 and Equator E3 are close behind. We still have adequate supply of all these top performing varieties to meet in season demand for growers who want to combine high level performance and outstanding weed control.
For corn, HZ 2910, HZ 3480, HZ 3690, HZ 4258 and HZ 4440 are products to watch.
At 89 RM (2675 CHU) HZ 2910 stands poised to become a key product in its maturity. With very good spring vigour, excellent stalks and strong roots, this product performs beyond grower expectations.
HZ 3480 (2825 CHU) is a new release for 2025 combining excellent vigour and very good stalks and roots with season long stay green and the benefits of Viptera insect protection to create another strong performer in the Horizon seed line.
HZ 3690 (2875 CHU) is a PowerCore Enlist hybrid bringing top end yield with the added crop safety of the Enlist herbicide system. Last year HZ 3690 was undoubtedly our top yielding product in the maturity zone and we have strong expectations for 2025.
In the 102 RM zone, HZ 4258 (3050 CHU) brings excellent stalks and roots and top end yield potential while being broadly adapted across environments and soil types. While at the late end of our portfolio, growers in this region should seriously consider this outstanding performer.
Lastly, HZ 4440 (3120 CHU) brings top end yield to the conventional portfolio. Strong agronomics and consistent ears lend themselves to performance that is unmatched at this maturity.
We have good supply of each of these hybrids, as well as many others, for in season sales and would encourage growers that it’s not to late to try these strong Horizon varieties and hybrids.

"When we sat down after harvest and looked at everything — yields, rotations, soil types, and everything over the scales — our highest average soybean yield last year came from Axis E3."
