Latest Headlines
Edina High School teacher Lindsey Smaka has been selected as a recipient of the Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms program. Smaka, a science teacher, is one of 76 U.S. citizens who will travel abroad through the Fulbright Fellowship, a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.
Edina 212, an EHS student leadership group, has been awarded a grant of $3,050 as part a new partnership with the Walser Foundation. The grant will be used to establish the presence of the club, increase participation, and offset the cost of supplies for service projects.
The Minnesota Department of Education in collaboration with the  Minnesota Centers of Excellence has selected the Early Learning Center for funding for an innovation program. Implementation of the  Pyramid Model , designed to support social emotional competence in infants and young children, will begin this fall.

  • 7:50 a.m. – 2:25 p.m. Concord, Cornelia, Countryside, Creek Valley, Highlands
  • 8:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. EHS
  • 8:40 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. Normandale
  • 9:20 a.m. – 4:05 p.m. South View, Valley View

In an effort to continue to make life easier for busy families, Edina Public Schools has shifted to Campus Food Service and Online Payments beginning this school year. By providing these new tools parents will be able to access information right from the  Infinite Campus  icon in the portal!

Students from families with limited incomes may qualify for free breakfast and lunch at school. You are encouraged to apply for Educational Benefits now, before school begins. If you qualified last year it is important to know that you must complete a new application each year. These benefits are through the Minnesota Department of Education.

Board Meeting Highlights
Aug. 13 Regular Meeting
Highlights from the Aug. 13 regular meeting of the School Board include:
  • Discussion on a number of policy updates
  • Approval of Superintendent Goals for 2018-19
  • Approval of TIES reorganization and agreements

A complete meeting agenda is posted three days prior to the meeting. The next regular meeting of the School Board is Monday, Sept. 24, 7 p.m., ECC Room 349.
