Did you Know?


When the Class of 2023 started as freshmen, Noblesville High School had recorded ten state athletic championships in school history. As the Class of 2023 graduates this year, eleven more athletic state championships have been earned, for a total of 21 throughout NHS history.

The school board has responsibility for major district functions including school district governance and oversight, setting school policies, approving funding, strategic planning, and hiring and evaluating the superintendent.


June 20, 2023 Board Meeting Highlights


  • Executive Director of Learning Dr. Jennifer Wheat-Townsend updated the board on the use of federal emergency relief funds given during the pandemic. The district is using these funds for a variety of academic support and mentoring programs.
  • The board appointed Julie Thacker as the district's new Executive Director of Student Services and Rob Williamson as the new Director of Transportation.
  • Annual updates to student handbooks were approved by a vote of 3 to 1, with Laura Alerding voting against the handbooks. Alerding stated that she had concerns about wording in the district's mission and vision statements, which appear in the handbooks.
  • Board member Misti Ray was absent.

Meet Amy Roberts

Ex Director of Secondary Special Education


Amy Roberts is responsible for administrative and instructional planning, budgeting, and professional development for all aspects of secondary special education (grade 6-22 years of age). 

Applications are now open for the Noblesville Schools Miller Ambassadors program.This engaging, nine-month learning experience is for select Noblesville community leaders and school district parents to enjoy a deeper understanding of Noblesville Schools. To learn more and apply by July 1, go here.
