Honoring Our Veterans


Noblesville Schools honored Veterans Day with special programs, patriotic music, thank you notes, poems, discussions, art, and more to thank veterans for their sacrifices and service.

The IndyStar recently highlighted media specialist Taryn Hassler and the Big Foot, Squirrel Stampede, and bicentennial lessons she brings to life for the Noble Crossing school community.

Superintendent Hile and other district leaders recently toured the NHS athletic expansion, which will provide new courts, girls locker rooms, classroom space, offices, and enhancements for wrestling. cheerleading and volleyball. The expansion is expected to be completed by August 2024 and is funded through a bond with no use of referendum or classroom dollars and no increase to the tax rate.

The school board has responsibility for major district functions including school district governance and oversight, setting school policies, approving funding, strategic planning, and hiring and evaluating the superintendent.


November 21, 2023 Board Meeting Highlights


  • The NHS Marching Millers were honored for their state accomplishments.
  • Noble Crossing Elementary presented a board spotlight on their "one school, one book" challenge.
  • The board green-lighted approximately $42 million in funding for an academic and performing arts expansion at NHS. The funding is financed through a bond with no increase to the tax rate and no use of referendum or education dollars.
  • Policies were adopted, including a new library material removal request procedure in compliance with new state legislation.
  • Summer school programming was approved.
  • Changes were made to the 2024-2025 school year calendar to move Homecoming and parent teacher conferences to different dates.
  • Luke Bremer was approved as the new assistant principal of Noble Crossing Elementary.

Meet Julie Thacker

Executive Director of Student Services


Julie Thacker is responsible for the student services department, which ensures all supports are in place to allow students to focus on learning and growing. From the district perspective, she oversees a variety of areas including, but not limited to, counseling, nursing, homebound, Miller Explorers, and Little Millers Preschool.
