BSCC is Ready for Green Fondo!

Bike Santa Cruz County is thrilled to be participating Climate Ride's Green Fondo this May.

Over 30 riders will participate on our Team pedaling through beautiful Sonoma and Marin counties, connecting with cycling and climate advocates while fundraising for local organizing.

Thanks to Climate Ride’s Annual Fund donors, the costs of Green Fondo are fully covered so that BSCC receives 100% of donations!

Intersection daylighting:

improved visibility for safer crossings.

We welcome the signing of Assembly Bill 413, which prohibits the stopping, standing, or parking of a vehicle within 20 feet of the vehicle approach side of any unmarked or marked crosswalk (defined by curb ramps) or 15 feet of any crosswalk where a curb extension is present.

Preventing obstructed visibility for approaching vehicles is one small step towards protecting people in crosswalks and creating a safer environment and more bikeable and walkable cities.
