June 30, 2026 is Drinking Water and

Wastewater Professionals Day!

The Leadership Academy is a VA AWWA | VWEA initiative for professionals in the water sector. This year-long program focuses on communication styles, emotional intelligence, goal setting, ethical leadership, and more.


The Leadership Academy kicks off and graduates each year at WaterJAM. Applicants must hold either a VA AWWA or VWEA membership. Visit the links below for more information.

In a Drought?



While the recent rains have certainly helped ease the drought status across the State, it's good to be equipped to educate the public when in a drought. The VA AWWA | VWEA Water Awareness and Outreach Committee has created a "When in Drought" toolkit with water conservation tips, press releases, and more!
