June 30th 2023 Update

**A potentially harmful algal bloom is present and being monitored at Vancouver Lake. Toxicity is below threshold.


There are no current advisories at these lakes. To report a suspected harmful algal bloom or other water quality concern, go here.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NEXT WEEK: Due the the holiday, bloom toxicity results will be delayed and may not come in until late on Friday the 7th. For the most up to date test results check out the NW Toxic Algae website and search by body of water.

Report a Suspected Bloom

Celebrating this 4th of July holiday? Important safety reminders:

  • Fireworks are illegal in city, county, and state parks as well as Dept. of Natural Resources and US Forest Service lands.
  • Always have a bucket of water and water hose ready to douse any fire.
  • Assign a responsible adult to supervise fireworks use.
  • Use fireworks outdoors in a clear area away from buildings, vehicles and dry vegetation.
  • Never aim fireworks at people or structures.
  • Never attempt to alter fireworks or relight “duds” that fail to ignite.
  • Place used fireworks in a bucket of water to soak overnight before disposing of them. These devices can still be smoldering and could start a fire if placed in a trash receptacle.
