WARNING ADVISORY
None
During a WARNING advisory:
Swimming or water skiing not advised anywhere on lake.
Avoid areas of scum when using motorized boats, paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing.
Do not drink lake water.
Animals should avoid all water contact.
When fishing, clean fish well and discard organs.
DANGER ADVISORY
Vancouver Lake (issued 7/23/2025)
During a DANGER advisory, Public Health advises against all recreating in the lake, including swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, using motorized boats, water skiing, and fishing.
Help others and the community stay safe by becoming a certified lifeguard. There are two major certification trainings: the American red Cross, and Ellis and Associates. Many local rec centers offer lifeguarding classes, so make sure to check which one is most convenient for you!
