DANGER ADVISORY



• Vancouver Lake (issued 7/23/2025)

During a DANGER advisory, Public Health advises against all recreating in the lake, including swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, using motorized boats, water skiing, and fishing.

Next Sampling Dates

• E.coli (bacteria): May 2026
• Harmful Algae (cyanobacteria): September 15th

From the City of Camas:

"Officials with the City of Camas Public Works department have announced that the annual drawdown of Lacamas Lake and Round Lake is scheduled to begin Sept. 15.

Beginning at 8 a.m., Monday, Sept. 15, 2025, the City will reduce the total level of the lakes by approximately six-feet, in order to achieve the level needed to facilitate dam inspections and repairs. 

The drawdown should take a few days, with the minimum level being reached by the approximate date of Friday, Sept. 26, 2025. 

Once inspections and repairs have taken place, the process to refill the lakes to normal levels is tentatively scheduled to begin Oct. 28. Officials expect this process to take several weeks, depending on rainfall volumes."
