Wear Your Life Jacket!

Drowning related deaths can be prevented by wearing life jackets.

Who: Everyone! Especially small children and less-confident swimmers

Doing what: Boating, water-skiing, water sports, swimming

When: During the summer and in ice cold water

Where: Oceans, lakes, rivers, even pools!

Why: Life jackets save lives!

  • Always try on your life jacket to confirm that it fits. It should be snug, but not tight.
  • Always check the age and weight restrictions and verify that it is USCG certified, located on the inside panel of the life jacket.

Many swim beaches in Clark County offer life jacket loaner programs, too!
