**CAUTION! A harmful algae bloom was observed this week at Vancouver Lake. While toxin tests were below advisory threshold, conditions change quickly and you should always avoid areas of scum.
Remember to always check for toxic algae blooms AND mats. Don't let your pets drink or wade in water with a suspected toxic bloom or mat, and don't let your pets eat mat material. If you suspect your pet is showing symptoms of toxic algae, immediately bring them to your vet. Always remember, when in doubt, STAY OUT!
