Vancouver Lake flushing channel mouth, Monday June 16th 2025

Come see us at Camas Farmer's market! We will be at the Kid's Connection booth this coming Wednesday, June 25th from 3:00-7:00pm in downtown Camas. We will have a safe swimming activity for the kids, and new handouts about benthic algae mats to share.

Hot Tub Safety

Despite the hot summer temperatures, hot tubs are still very popular for water recreation. However, the extra comfort spas bring comes with some extra caution to keep yourself safe:

  • Hot tubs can more easily house bacteria, so ask if the spa is being properly oprated and maintained
  • Don't drink spa water
  • Keep children under 5 out of the hot water
  • Shower before entering
  • Pay attention to how long you've been in the spa to avoid heat exhaustion
  • Shower and wash your swim suit after spa use to avoid "hot tub rash"
  • Always follow the rules of the facility
