DANGER ADVISORY

  • Vancouver Lake (issued 7/23/2025)


Water quality appears to be improving but the DANGER advisory remains in place.


During a DANGER advisory, Public Health advises against all recreating in the lake, including swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, using motorized boats, water skiing, and fishing.

Next Sampling Dates

  • E.coli (bacteria): May 2026
  • Harmful Algae (cyanobacteria): September 8th

Swim Beach Monitoring Dashboard

Our swim beach monitoring season is starting to wind down, and we have completed our routine E. coli monitoring for the year and will return in May 2026. Harmful algae bloom monitoring will continue to happen weekly while blooms are present, and is expected to wrap up in October.
