Norwood Viviano is a contemporary glass artist who works within techniques of kilncast glass and glassblowing. His work focuses primarily on industrialization, shifting populations and urban sites. His recent installation, Global Cities, highlights these topics through hand blown glass representations of dramatic population trends. In his sculptures, Viviano contrasts traditional modes of glass work with modern technology.

Viviano's work has been featured worldwide including the Corning Glass Museum, Chrysler Museum of Art and the Venice Biennale. Viviano currently resides in Plainwell, Michigan.
