Information for commercial pool operators and owners
Opening soon? Schedule an educational Inspection!
To ensure that water recreational partners are ready to reopen for the swim season, we are offering the ability to schedule an educational inspection in lieu of an unannounced routine inspection. Any violations observed will not be reported on our website. These inspections will focus on items that need to be corrected prior to reopening to protect bathers from illness or injury.
Remodeling or updating equipment
Prior to a remodel of an existing recreational water facility, CCPH must be notified of the proposed changes, per WAC 260-260-021. A plan review may be required for changes to the clubhouse, adjacent buildings, restrooms, pool structure and/or barrier design. Location, materials to be used, walking surfaces, fencing and other barriers, appurtenances, pool surfaces, floors and walls must conform with WAC 246-260. To submit a remodel inquiry form, visit our website.
Remember to check expiration dates of reagents to ensure that they are current!
Are you ready for the 2022 swim season?
Make sure you are ready for this swim season by verifying the following:

  • Check your barriers and gates to ensure the pool/spa area is secure
  • Review your emergency equipment to ensure it's all present and functional
  • Assess the pool deck - ensure surfaces are smooth, handrails are secured, and safety signs are posted
  • Go through your chemical testing kit to ensure reagents are in good condition and not expired
  • Evaluate pump room equipment to ensure it is working as intended
  • Look at inlets, outlets, filters, and drains for entrapment risks
