The Island Food Pantry has been thriving in its new permanent home, serving our growing community of 5,700 registered clients. With demand higher than ever, we're proud to continue supporting the Island community. The MV Times did a great in-depth article which you can read here.

A huge thank you to Sustainable Nantucket, Process First, Remain Nantucket, the Nantucket Food Group, DPW, Nantucket Public Schools, and Pip and Anchor for hosting us, sharing their work, and giving us an inspiring tour of their sites. It was incredible to see the local food systems work happening on our sister Island and explore ways to deepen our inter-Island collaborations! 

Have you heard of the Venison Donation Program (VDP)? It’s a partnership between IGI, Kinship Heals, the Ag Society, and other local food distribution programs. The goal is to provide high-quality, protein-rich meals to Islanders in need of food support. Gail Arnold, IGI Board Chair and private chef volunteers regularly at the Island Food Pantry and is a champion of the VDP. This week she is featured in the MV Times “In the Kitchen” series sharing a fantastic recipe for venison chili. Check it out here!

We are seeking a Co-Executive Director of Finance and Administration to serve alongside our Co-Executive Director of Programs. This position will oversee a team of 4 across critical functional areas: Finance, Human Resources, Legal and Risk, Operations and Project Management.

Field Crew

We are seeking hard-working and community-oriented field hands to help us build soil and grow food throughout the 2025 growing season. The following field crew positions available:

• Short Season: May-September
• Mid Season: May-October
• Long Season: April-December
