Now Hiring for Part-Time Admin Assistant!
Summary : Latino Service Providers (LSP) works with community partners to engage, collaborate, and exchange valuable information; to increase awareness of available resources, access to programs and services; to promote professional development within the Latino population; and engage with our Youth Promotores (youth community health workers). LSP is seeking an Administrative Assistant that will support the ​LSP mission and vision, and support the efforts of the Executive Director and staff.

Paid Internship Opportunity!
Our internship is a paid internship program that runs from May 2020- May 2021 and focuses on training our interns as youth community health workers. If you are interested in the mental health, healthcare, social work, education, law enforcement, and/or nursing fields this is a great opportunity to learn some great skills, build your resume, and get paid doing amazing community work! The application is due  March 2, 2020 , however we are accepting applications  now  and inviting all early applicants to a lunch/ coffee/ tea meeting with our Project Manager and our Project Assistant just to get to know each other better!

This event is a must attend celebration of Día de las Madres (Mother’s Day)! Enjoy an exciting array of Latinx foods, drinks and live entertainment, while engaging in fun raffles, auctions, dancing and more. Immerse in the richness and diversity of Latinx cultures while celebrating Mother’s Day and women empowerment.
Proceeds from this event will support Latino Service Providers' Youth Promotores program, which engages and develops youth to be mental health and social justice advocates as well as leaders of our future workforce.
For over three decades, Latino Service Providers has worked diligently to promote the inclusion and upward mobility of the Latinx community in Sonoma County. We do this by developing youth leaders, building awareness and connections to community services, and advocating for equity across race and ethnicity. At LSP, we envision a Sonoma County Latinx community with “equitable opportunities to lead healthy, resilient and connected lives.”

This day-long conference aims to raise consciousness and inspire action. For those feeling the call toward political engagement, We the Future offers an opportunity to build solidarity among activists of color, working-class folks, interfaith allies, feminists, members of the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants and the undocumented, labor organizers, and environmentalists whose diverse work is united by a desire to build a more just, humane world.

Yoga for Kids/ Yoga para Niños
This playful kids yoga class is geared towards older kids. The class introduces yoga poses with cooperative games, breathing, and relaxation exercises, as well as encourages self-expression and building social skills. Active and fun, the class help kids release energy, develop strength, flexibility, and focus in a social environment. This is a kids-only yoga class, parents/caregivers are welcome to observe. Program is 60 minutes and mats provided. Free!

Esta divertida clase de yoga para niños está dirigida a niños mayores. La clase presenta posturas de yoga con juegos cooperativos, ejercicios de respiración y relajación, y fomenta la autoexpresión y el desarrollo de habilidades sociales. Title of announcement: Programs Manager
Summary : The Programs Manager oversees all education and stewardship programs managed by Stewards in the Russian
River Sector of the Sonoma Mendocino Coast District. The Programs Manager ensures that all volunteers feel welcomed and at home in the Stewards and State Park community. They are responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling, evaluation and retention of volunteers in the State Parks’ Volunteers in Parks programs and Stewards’ education and stewardship programs. They manage Stewards’ relationship with volunteers, is a liaison between regular volunteers, volunteers who coordinate programs, staff, and represents State Parks and Stewards volunteer programs in the greater Sonoma County community. In addition, the Programs Manager works with support staff to schedule schools and groups of all ages that request docent-led programs. They also work with a Programs Committee to schedule workshops, certification programs and seminars for the public’s enjoyment and education. The Programs Manager works to ensure that environmental education programs for youth meet the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Common Core Standards.

Summary : The Family, Youth & Children (FYC) division staff members help individuals, families and the community ensure the safety and well-being of Sonoma County children and teens. Staff respond to reports of abuse and neglect, day or night, through the 24-hour hotline. FYC staff members also provide community training about child abuse prevention and mandated reporting.

Title of announcement:  Senior Community Development Specialist
Salary: $5,306 - $6,450/Monthly*
Summary : Working on the Homeless Services Team, under the direction of the Homeless & Community Services Managerand the Continuum of Care (CoC) Coordinator, this Senior Community Development Specialist position is responsible for supporting the work of the CoC Board, its membership, and the alignment and integration of the CDC's homeless services systems with other County department/agency systems of care.
