LSP participates in a variety of community events and educational programs that serve the Latino population.

Paid Internship Opportunity!
Our internship is a paid internship program that runs from May 2020- May 2021 and focuses on training our interns as youth community health workers. If you are interested in the mental health, healthcare, social work, education, law enforcement, and/or nursing fields this is a great opportunity to learn some great skills, build your resume, and get paid doing amazing community work! The application is due  March 2, 2020 , however we are accepting applications  now!

Nuestra aprendizaje es un programa que se extiende desde mayo 2020 hasta mayo 2021 y se enfoca en capacitar a nuestros jovenes como promotores de salud de la comunidad. Si está interesado en los carreras de la salud mental, antención médica, trabajo social, educación, aplicación de la ley, o enfermería. Esta es un gran oportunidad para aprender algunas habilidades excelentes, desarrollar su currículum y recibir un pago haciendo un trabajo comunitario increíble! This event is a must attend celebration of Día de las Madres (Mother’s Day)! Enjoy an exciting array of Latinx foods, drinks and live entertainment, while engaging in fun raffles, auctions, dancing and more. Immerse in the richness and diversity of Latinx cultures while celebrating Mother’s Day and women empowerment.
Proceeds from this event will support Latino Service Providers' Youth Promotores program, which engages and develops youth to be mental health and social justice advocates as well as leaders of our future workforce.
For over three decades, Latino Service Providers has worked diligently to promote the inclusion and upward mobility of the Latinx community in Sonoma County. We do this by developing youth leaders, building awareness and connections to community services, and advocating for equity across race and ethnicity. At LSP, we envision a Sonoma County Latinx community with “equitable opportunities to lead healthy, resilient and connected lives.”

THIS YEAR'S THEME IS "CITIZEN 2020: POWER IN NUMBERS"
FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 2020
This day-long conference aims to raise consciousness and inspire action. For those feeling the call toward political engagement, We the Future offers an opportunity to build solidarity among activists of color, working-class folks, interfaith allies, feminists, members of the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants and the undocumented, labor organizers, and environmentalists whose diverse work is united by a desire to build a more just, humane world.

Yoga for Kids/ Yoga para Niños
This playful kids yoga class is geared towards older kids. The class introduces yoga poses with cooperative games, breathing, and relaxation exercises, as well as encourages self-expression and building social skills. Active and fun, the class help kids release energy, develop strength, flexibility, and focus in a social environment. This is a kids-only yoga class, parents/caregivers are welcome to observe. Program is 60 minutes and mats provided. Free!

Esta divertida clase de yoga para niños está dirigida a niños mayores. La clase presenta posturas de yoga con juegos cooperativos, ejercicios de respiración y relajación, y fomenta la autoexpresión y el desarrollo de habilidades sociales. Summary : Corazón Healdsburg is seeking a bilingual (English and Spanish) highly creative, organized, savvy, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic T​Head of Programs ​to oversee and expand our programming in Northern Sonoma County. Exceptional management, organizational, writing, research, outreach, and communications skills are necessary. The ​Head of Programs ​position requires a proven, forward-thinking, and dynamic individual to provide proactive leadership and vision in implementing our programs with best practices in mind.

Title of announcement:  PROGRAMS COORDINATOR - ADULT EDUCATION
Summary : The ​Programs Coordinator - Adult Education/ECE Workforce Certificate Program​ is a grant-funded position responsible for the coordination and implementation of Corazón’s new Early Childhood Education Workforce Development Program. This position would assist adult students in navigating the Adult Education program focused on creating more licensed quality childcare operators in Northern Sonoma County and assisting students through completion of the coursework and support as they determine their career goals in ECE.C

Title of announcement: Bay Camp Assistant Counselor
Summary : Bay Camp is a bilingual summer day camp based out of the Ralph Benson Center at Sears Point on the San Pablo Bay, the site of a recent 1,000-acre tidal marsh restoration by Sonoma Land Trust. Six week-long summer sessions run from late June through early August. Seventeen to twenty children, ages seven to twelve, will participate in the camp each week from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. The Bay Camp Assistant Counselor works under the direction of the Bay Camp Director to support and assist program activities, administration, and preparation. Camp activities include bicycling, kayaking, and hiking, as well as arts and crafts and ecological restoration and exploration of the tidal marsh ecology.

Summary: The 2020 Census Community Worker will report to the 2020 Census Coordinator and will promote awareness about the 2020 Census by hosting booths at resource fairs, performing train-the-trainer education, distributing census informational flyers, and conducting door-to-door canvassing all in an effort to educate targeted to Hard To Count populations about the Census to obtain complete count.

Salary: $6,824 - $8,294/Monthly*
Summary : Permit Sonoma is a diversified, fast-paced department charged with County land stewardship, environmental protection, and safe development and construction. Supervising a team of one Department Analyst, one Administrative Aide, and one Payroll Clerk, the Human Resources Officer is responsible for the oversight of the customer service, information technology, accounting, and human resources functions within the department. They will also manage the recruitment and hiring of Permit Sonoma employees, oversee all discipline, disability, and discrimination matters, and will act as liaison between the unions and central Human Resources.

Title of announcement:  Safety Analyst II
Salary: $6,779 - $8,242/Monthly*
Summary : The County of Sonoma is seeking a dynamic, solution-oriented occupational health and safety professional to coordinate county-wide safety initiatives and support departments' staff in developing operation-specific safety programs as a member of the centralized Human Resources' Safety Unit. This position provides technical support, consultation, and training to all levels of County staff in 28 different departments, agencies, and special districts.
