 Cinderella, Cinderella 

A Theater for Children's production of Cinderella, Cinderella will take kids into the whirlwind romance of a fairytale princess. The 45-minute play, which promises to involve audience members, will be performed at the Steele Lane Community Center in Santa Rosa on September 29 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., September 30 at 3:30 p.m., and October 1 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased a

During these two one time bilingual  workshops.We are also providing two hour-long workshops at  8am and 6pm  for anyone who would like to serve their community and conduct workshops like these in the future.

This new 4-hour educational seminar is designed to inform and support family members, partners, friends and significant others who have loved ones with a mental health condition. Participants learn about diagnoses, treatment, recovery, communication strategies, crisis preparation and NAMI resources. Seminar leaders are also family members who know first-hand what it is like to have a loved one with a mental health condition.
The seminar is being piloted by NAMI as a way to reach individuals who may not be able to commit to our flagship 12-week Family-to-Family educational program. NAMI Sonoma County will conduct the seminar twice in our office.The seminar is open to anyone aged 14 years and above, accompanied by an adult.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

This full-day training is a national program designed for caring adults (parents, teachers, school staff and caregivers). The program provides tools for understanding how to recognize and help a young person (ages 12-18) experiencing a mental health challenge. Russian River Deep Paddle, October 7-8-9

LandPaths warmly invites you to join us this fall for an unparalleled outdoor adventure with TrekSonoma - three days spent walking or paddling across our local landscape with friends new and old, entirely apart from the automobile.  TrekSonoma offers a chance to experience the landscape as a connected whole - to see it as habitat for wildlife, plants and humans alike, and to grapple firsthand with a patchwork of barriers and access points that both humans and wildlife face when traversing the land and waterways of our county. In an attempt to expand the concept of connectivity, TrekSonoma is dedicated to weaving private landowners, local businesses, and agriculture into the trekking experience. 

Trekking allows us to sink into a different rhythm with the land and each other.  We'll enjoy communal meals, music and evenings around a campfire, pitching tents at scenic campsites along the way. Gear will be shuttled, allowing participants to spend the day with only a daypack, as we focus on local food and vistas, celebrating the great natural resources and agricultural landscapes of Sonoma County.

On this trek we'll paddle the Russian River from Forestville to the Ocean. Our journey will begin in the redwoods, meander through stunning riparian forests teaming with birds, and end with the harbor seals in the Jenner estuary. Each evening we will camp near the river, eat local foods, and join in merriment around a campfire. LandPaths will provide gear transport, a shuttle from Jenner back to Forestville, a naturalist's perspective on the river, and tasty meals beginning with dinner on Saturday. Guest speakers, live music, and good friends will enhance this already beautiful stretch of River.

To Our Wonderful Volunteers of Catholic Charities,

Many of you provided amazing help serving meals to residents of our winter shelter program at Sam Jones Hall last year. We are excited to announce that those temporary winter beds have been converted to additional year-round beds for our clients with full supportive services for those who need our help getting back into homes of their own. 

Since the expansion of our adult shelter, we are looking for volunteers who are willing to prepare, deliver, and serve meals to the individuals of our Sam Jones Hall residence. Dinner is served promptly at 6:00pm to residents, so volunteers should arrive no later than 5:00pm to drop off food, or begin preparation of serving. 

We are currently looking for groups of 5-10 volunteers who are willing to provide, prepare, and serve meals to these individuals. Scheduling is flexible! If you feel that you d on't have time to make a meal at home but would like to volunteer to help serve dinner at the shelter, please contact Contact Noreen Mendoza to learn how to get involved. We are open to all and any volunteers interested in getting involved.

CASA is experiencing one of the largest numbers of referrals in 20 years, of abused and neglected children who are entering the child welfare system afraid and alone. CASA is seeking volunteers today. CASA has over 50 youth awaiting your friendship and advocacy, which can bring a life changing relationship to them, and the list continues to grow. As little as 10 hours a month can make a child's life brighter. Our Summer training begins October 5th. Visit or call them at 565-6375.
CASAs (Court Appointed Special Advocates) are volunteers and ordinary citizens from our community, like you, doing extraordinary work. CASA advocates establish stable relationships with foster children, getting to know their unique history and making informed recommendations to the courts.

Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and  Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon

Your connection with the people of Sonoma County and your ability and cooperative efforts to raise awareness of our program is truly appreciated. The CASA Program recruits and trains citizen volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system. Becoming a CASA volunteer is an investment of time, energy and most importantly...heart. Not everyone is in a position to become a CASA volunteer, but everyone could support our program through an additional volunteer opportunity we are recruiting volunteers for! We would love to have your help sharing the word about it.
CASA has become an official charity partner of Destination Races and the next race is the Healdsburg Wine Country Half Marathon on October 28th in Healdsburg. *       Responds to after-hours emergencies

Education and Experience:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in a skilled building and/or construction trade.

Licenses and Certifications:
Possession of a valid California driver's license.

Knowledge of:
*       Principles and practices of providing lead direction to others, including work planning, assignment, review and evaluation, and the training of staff in work procedures
*       Principles, practices, tools, and materials for maintaining and repairing assigned Library infrastructure, systems, and facilities, specifically in relation to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, and painting work
*       Safety equipment and practices related to the performance of facilities maintenance
*       Techniques for providing a high level of customer service by effectively dealing with the public, vendors, contractors and Library staff

Ability to:
*       Manage, oversee and evaluate skilled construction, modification, maintenance, and repair work on assigned infrastructure, facility, and/or system
*       Inspect the work of others and maintain established quality control standards
*       Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, maps, and specifications
*       Organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines

Must possess mobility to use standard office equipment, including a computer; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to work in confined spaces and around machines, to climb and descend ladders up to forty (40) feet high, to operate varied hand and power tools and construction equipment; to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various Library sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.  Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate above-mentioned tools and equipment.  Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work and inspect work sites.  Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to one-hundred (100) pounds, or heavier weights with the use of proper equipment.

The Position

Program Overview

Essential AmeriCorps Duties

An AODS Counselor II is a non-licensed professional who works under general supervision in providing case management, counseling, education, and evaluations to individuals, groups, and families participating in AODS programs. Minimum Qualifications

The CHD Day Labor Centers provide a safe and respectful exchange for both employers and temporary day laborers. Case management at the center allows staff to ensure a multitude of services through CHD and referrals to other resources available to the whole family

SUMMARY: To perform the essential functions of the Case Manager and assist the Program Coordinator with the overall daily operation of the center. This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of parent classes per Human Services Commission and continued funding. Will also provide employment referrals, and emergency services to the day laborers in CHD's service area.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
A.      One year experience performing vocational guidance, employment counseling, case management and/or placement services; or a BA in a related field
B.      Must be able to work and communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals and groups in English and Spanish both orally and in writing.

Positive Images has been serving Sonoma County's LGBTQ youth for 26 years, our
mission is to provide support and advocacy to Sonoma County's gay, lesbian, bisexual,
transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, and intersex youth and young adults, ages 12-24, and
educate the greater community. We envision a Sonoma County where all youth are valued,

the past few years, we are now at a new larger location in downtown Santa Rosa, our support

Position summary
The Program Manager is a strategic leader who provides direction to overall management
of the organization's activities and operations, including community outreach panel/
workshop presentations. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: resource
development and maintenance, community and public outreach and relations, liaison to the
board of directors, programmatic data management and reporting, and staff supervision.
The successful candidate will have the ability to drive the organization's continued growth
and be responsive to the needs of youth members.

* Represent PI at public speaking engagements
Agency and Program Planning
* Prepare and submit required reports to funders
* Train and supervise Program Assistant, Intern(s) and any other PI staff positions
through weekly check-ins
*Personnel Management
* Responsible for the supervision of all personnel, including paid staff and volunteers.
Fiscal Management
* Review and approve all monthly reports and documentation; and
* Submit bills and expenditures to the treasurer for reimbursement and accounting.

Required Education
Minimum of Associate Degree required and Bachelors Degree preferred.
Required Experience
A minimum of one to three years of progressive experience in working on LGBTQ+ matters
and/or population.
Competency with Microsoft Office software and data entry.
Competency in working with a multiracial, multicultural, multi-gendered, and
intergenerational community.
