Thanks to our members for making the 45th Anniversary Gala a success!

Over 200 guests joined us at the Gala held on October 24th at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth.
A great time was had by all, as our guests enjoyed delicious food, met up with friends and colleagues, bid on silent auction items, danced the night away, and went home with gifts and prizes.

We also thank the Sponsors and businesses in the community for their generous contributions!

NASW-NJ Staff would like to thank the
Social Work, Education, Research & Scholarship Corp

Newly Added CE Course!
Bullying in School as Child Neglect
(2 Clinical CEUs)

November 9, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm in South Orange
Presenter: Stuart Green, LCSW, DMH

Bullying in school arises from weaknesses in school culture, for which educators are ultimately responsible. Bullying reflects neglect by educators of a responsibility comparable to the duty owed to children by caregivers and should be viewed as institutional child neglect. Child neglect measures should, therefore, be applied, including duty to report and the involvement of social service agencies and child advocates. Viewing childhood bullying in this way will lead to more effective prevention and addressing of bullying, and safer, better lives for children.

For those licensed in NY: NASW New Jersey Chapter SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0138.
