Message from the Rector

Good Friday Service

Easter Service

Dear Parishioners and Friends,
Thank you for your prayers and best wishes for my recovery from Covid-19 and also for your prayers for the whole Rectory household. It has been quite a journey into the unknown physically, emotionally and spiritually and a huge relief to be over it, in the sense of no longer being ill. The recovery process continues as I regain energy and some semblance of inner-equilibrium (although that hardly seems possible right now).
So, I am, like all of us, dealing with this awful turn of events on a personal, day-to-day basis. As a priest, it certainly doesn't "feel" like it's Holy Week and that Good Friday and Easter are approaching and yet they are! To that end, I will be offering a Good Friday service from home via Zoom and an Easter Day service from the sanctuary via YouTube. I hope that you will join me for those services so that we can be together and pray together as a parish (within the constraints of being online).

Right now my deepest desire is to connect with all of you and with God for solace and also for a glimpse of Easter joy in what feels very much like a Good Friday world.
Stay well, stay safe and if you are currently sick or unwell know that your parish family is here for you,
