NYMC Ranks High in Low Student Loan Default Rates
A recently published Student Loan Report has ranked New York Medical College 14th among all colleges -- public, private and for-profit -- in the United States for student loan default rates, boasting a 0.77 percent default rate. The report was compiled using federal data released by the Department of Education for each school's three-year default rate as of 2017. "Our financial aid and debt management advisement begins when an applicant comes for an interview and continues after graduation," said Anthony M. Sozzo, M.A., M.S.Ed., associate dean for student affairs and director of student activities and student financial planning. "Our students are paying back their student debt effectively, a reflection of their success after graduating and financial responsibility. I couldn't be more proud."
