NYMC is pleased to welcome Four LLC as the fourth client of BioInc@NYMC, the College's biotechnology incubator at 7 Dana Road. Four LLC is a nutrition, health and fitness consumer product company founded in 2013 to research, create and market nutrition products based on life science patents.

Town Hall Meeting Keeps NYMC Community Informed about Project Enterprise
|
Faculty and staff were invited to a town hall meeting presented by David Raab, executive vice president, Touro College and University System, for an update on Project Enterprise on March 23 in Chouake Auditorium. Project Enterprise is the new integrated administrative system, the Banner System by Ellucian, currently being implemented throughout Touro College New York (including Touro Law Center), Touro University California, Touro University Nevada and New York Medical College. The system will enhance and streamline services for employees and students, and provide greater consistency of processes, procedures and operations throughout Touro to provide a solid platform for continued growth.

FCM and PT Team Up for an Interprofessional Education Opportunity
|
Interprofessional education is a growing component of medical school curricula to cultivate collaborative practice for providing patient-centered health care. This was the case on March 24 when members of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (D.P.T.) Class of 2016 took to the mods in the Medical Education Center to help facilitate a lab session on musculoskeletal content for second-year medical students in the Family and Community Medicine (FCM) II course.

Construction is Set to Commence for New Walkway to Provide Better Campus Connectivity
|
Spring has finally sprung on campus and construction is set to commence for the new lighted walkway to the Clinical Skills and Disaster Medicine Training Center and BioInc@NYMC at 7 Dana Road. Construction of the walkway from the Medical Education Center roadway across the lawn over Hammond House Road will commence on Monday, April 27, weather permitting. Please be aware of your surroundings and use extra caution in the area.

College Community Rallies to Help Medical Students Displaced by Off-Campus Fire

On the evening of April 8, there was a building fire in Manhattan, the home of third-year medical students, Josh Braslow and Kume Mekuria. They escaped but their apartment was completely destroyed and they lost all of their belongings. Visit

In preparation for our March 2016 accreditation visit, we will be featuring in the upcoming weeks the top 12 most-cited standards, based on recent data from the LCME.
